Being in a rapidly digitalising age calls for upgrading of skills, processes, and campaigns, regardless of which industry you are in. The design industry, especially in the interior and renovation departments, is not exempted from these changes. Fortunately, one interior design company has proved that keeping up with the technological times does reap plenty of rewards; at the recent Enterprise 50 (E50) Awards 2017, Image Creative clinched one of the prestigious fifty spots reserved for local private companies fully dedicated to excellence and customer satisfaction. This is not the only moment of glory for Image Creative; earlier this year, they receive the Singapore Prestige Brand Award (SPBA) 2017, and by then they already had numerous accreditation and certifications to their name.
Upon receiving the E50 Award 2017, Image Creative’s director Mr Roger Tan expressed his optimism on expanding the company locally further out into the region, ‘namely Malaysia, Thailand and China’ to ‘better service our clients and explore new market
opportunities’. “Regional works will also expose our staff to more ideas and increase their knowledge which helps them in terms of their professional and personal development,” Mr Tan shared. “Moving forward, we will prepare and equip the team to achieve our long term goal to go IPO when the time is right. ”
So how did they do it? For the Image Creative team, it was through being on the constant lookout for consumer trends and upgrading themselves to match the digital age - not just in recent years, but through persisting passion and commitment from every team member since the company’s inception 22 years ago. This made them an experienced and credible name in the industry.
Mr Tan, who owns Image Creative with his brothers Elson and Randy, also credits the firm’s success to being grounded on its values, passion for design and ethics, including looking out for their customers and giving them only the best - their portfolio of satisfied clients include local celebrities Fandi Ahmad and Wendy Jacobs.
True to their mantra of hard work, Image Creative does not rest on its laurels and continues to develop to meet changing customer demands. This belief has thus driven them to step up when digitization hit. Mr Tan shared with the Business Times that the firm is improving its digital marketing efforts with the help of a trusted branding consultant, keeping in mind the discernment of today’s customers due to the high availability of information.
Not only that, Image Creative has ridden the technological wave well by constantly researching the latest design and technological trends to satisfy customers and stay ahead of the competition. One example of this is using ‘3D-rendering design software’ to help their customers express their personal interior design ideas quickly and easily; the firm recognises their clients' increasing power in decision-making and thus adapted their techniques to meet this demand.
The firm is also planning for, as Mr Tan told the Business Times, ‘digital portfolios and integrated digital marketing plans’ as social media marketing rises in the interior design industry. He explained - and stressed - the importance of consistent personal upgrading and a competitive attitude in a rapidly evolving arena.
Being rewarded by the E50 awards for their diligence does not just benefit and motivate Image Creative to aim higher, but it is also a push for the design industry to better itself and move with the evolving consumer market.
We at RenoTalk congratulate Image Creative on their success and wish the team all the best in their future endeavours.
