New Program Develop By MBAS To Ensure Quality Of Landed Properties

Aiming to define the minimum standards of construction that need to be met for landed residential properties and standardise how construction quality will be graded for these homes, the Micro Building Association, Singapore (MBAS) has unveiled an upcoming initiative the BuildTrust™ Assessment Programme.
Why Develop BuildingTrust™ Assessment Programme?
The quality of the property is always a concern for homeowners as you want to stay in peace in your lovely home. But quality issues has been rising, landed property owners has been demanding for quality standard of landed properties. To assist the landed property owners, MBAS initiate the BuildingTrust™ Assessment Programme to raise the quality of landed properties and give recognition to reliable contractors with good track records. It helps to east the concerns about the quality and standards on contractors.
The issues on choosing reliable contractors with good track records, MBAS will have a proper assessment for the contractors. MBAS will also be organizing a hands-on training programmed for Buildtrust ™ Assessors. The program aims to introduce a set of quality standards which landed residential properties can be graded upon, and also assure the landed property homeowners regarding the quality of landed properties.
MBAS will be referring to the Building & Construction Authority’s Construction Quality Assessment System (CONQUAS) to tailor the needs of landed properties. To minimize the disputes on the quality of project, micro builders can adopt the BuildTrust™ standard. MBAS will be working with stakeholders and industry partners to share out the program.
